Please read below for answers to our frequently asked questions.

First Visit

Your initial appointment usually will consist of an examination, gum evaluation, and review of your treatment options. Usually, a cleaning can be done or started the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day. We allow 2 hours for new patient appointments.

Check out our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page and New Patient Forms here.

New Patient Forms will also be sent to you through email via intakeQ once you make your appointment. There you can upload any previous x-rays and inform us of your medical and dental history.

Please assist us by providing the following information prior to the time of your consultation:

  • Any x-rays taken by a previous dentist, if applicable.

  • A list of medications you are presently taking.

  • If you have dental insurance, please send us a copy of your insurance card and complete your online intake forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).

X-RAYS: If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. You may also email them to us directly or include them in your new patient electronic forms.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSURANCE

Having dental insurance or a dental benefit plan can make it easier to get the dental care you need. But most dental benefit plans do not cover all dental procedures. Your dental coverage is not based on what you need or what your dentist recommends. It is based on how much your employer pays into the plan.

When deciding on treatment, dental benefits should not be the only thing you consider. Your treatment should be determined by you and your dentist.
