San Francisco dentist Dr. Morghem and staff are dedicated to providing you with a pleasant visit and results that you’re proud to show off. Our administrative staff is ready to help you with questions about scheduling, financial policy and insurance, to make that part of the process as simple as possible. Please read below for answers to our frequently asked questions.

First Dental Visit

Your initial appointment usually will consist of an examination, gum evaluation, and review of your treatment options. Usually, a cleaning can be done or started the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day. We allow 2 hours for new patient appointments.

Check out our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page and New Patient Forms here.

New Patient Forms will also be sent to you through email via intakeQ once you make your appointment. There you can upload any previous x-rays and inform us of your medical and dental history.

Please assist us by providing the following information prior to the time of your consultation:

  • Any x-rays taken by a previous dentist, if applicable.

  • A list of medications you are presently taking.

  • If you have dental insurance, please send us a copy of your insurance card and complete your online intake forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e., diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves and joints, rheumatic fever, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc.).

X-RAYS: If your dentist or physician has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them to our office. You may also email them to us directly or include them in your new patient electronic forms.

Dental Insurance

We make every effort to provide you with the finest care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this we work hand-in-hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures.

Our office is a non-restricted dental practice. Many of our patients have dental insurance, and we pride ourselves in helping them maximize their benefits. We work with any plan that allows you the freedom to choose any dentist. Usually this type of plan is called a PPO plan.  If you have any problems or questions, please ask our team. They are well informed and up-to-date. They can be reached by phone at Inner Sunset Phone Number 415-707-7493.

Please call if you have any questions or concerns regarding your initial visit.

Please bring your insurance information with you to the consultation so that we can expedite reimbursement.

How much is the initial visit?

Below are the procedure codes and fees associated with your first visit:

  • D1110 $176.00 Teeth Cleaning

  • D0210 $251.00 Full-mouth x-rays

  • D0150 $179.00 Comprehensive exam

Having dental insurance or a dental benefit plan can make it easier to get the dental care you need. But most dental benefit plans do not cover all dental procedures. Your dental coverage is not based on what you need or what your dentist recommends. It is based on how much your employer pays into the plan.

When deciding on treatment, dental benefits should not be the only thing you consider. Your treatment should be determined by you and your dentist.
